Our teachers pair real performance experience with patient, encouraging instruction shaped around each student.
Founder · Music instructor
Evan is the founder of Santo In-Home Music Lessons, a professional saxophonist, and a music educator. He has performed at Dizzy's Club and Chelsea Table + Stage, as well as with the William Paterson University Jazz Orchestra. His lessons pair strong musical foundations with an encouraging, student-centered approach.
What matters to us
We look for instructors who can teach the whole musician—skills, confidence, curiosity, and all.
Teachers bring a strong command of their instrument and know how to turn that knowledge into clear next steps.
Students learn best when they feel respected, encouraged, and safe enough to try something new.
Families should understand what the student is working on and how to support progress at home.
No two musicians learn the same way. Lessons should respond to the person, not follow a rigid script.
A thoughtful match
Teacher introductions are made personally after we learn about the student. We consider instrument, experience, goals, personality, learning style, and the practical rhythm of the week.
